Jet2 issues warning to all Brits flying to major Spanish airport

Holidaymakers have been warned to expect delays at one the most popular Spanish airports. Jet2 said Palma Airport in Majorca was currently undergoing maintenance work and terminal changes which could cause delays.

“We are working with the airport to ensure that any disruption to your airport experience will be kept to a minimum. Due to this ongoing work you may be waiting slightly longer than normal to clear immigration in both departures and arrivals, our friendly Customer Helpers will be on hand to help."Jet2 thanked passengers in advance for their patience and understanding if they experience an extended wait time, which is beyond the airline's control. Brits have faced airport issues when travelling to the island before. In 2022, tourists arriving at Palma de Majorca Airport reported taking nearly three hours to reach their hotel coaches after landing. Since the UK left the EU, British passport holders have often faced long queues at customs when leaving the airport. There have also been tensions between locals and tourists in Majorca recently, as well as in other parts of Spain. In February, it was reported that some Spanish locals were putting up fake signs on beaches to keep them free from tourists.
