Jet2 issues major flight price update to holidaymakers

The operator, which flies from Leeds Bradford Airport , has indicated the post-pandemic surge in holiday prices is starting to soften ahead of the summer season. As reported by our MEN colleagues, Jet2 noted that while there has been ‘a modest increase’ in the cost of trips booked for the upcoming summer compared to last year, prices have recently become ‘more competitive’ for certain dates in late spring and early summer.

However, Jet2's shares dropped by 5 per cent in Wednesday morning trading following the company's comments on pricing. Despite this, the group reported strong demand for the peak season. Jet2 has revealed that it has 12.3 per cent more seats available than last year, totalling 17.1m over the holiday period.
