Jeremie Frimpong says it "still doesn't feel real" after helping Bayer Leverkusen romp to the Bundesliga title for the first time.
Frimpong - who has chipped in with an impressive eight goals and eight assists in 27 league games - was interviewed shortly after his team's unprecedented triumph, with Leverkusen also closing in on an invincible season, having not tasted defeat in their first 29 matches. The Dutchman admits that the feeling hasn't quite sunk in yet as he summed up the scenes of jubilation inside the dressing room.
"Today was a special day for us as we knew a win would give us the league. We were extra motivated and the coach didn't even need to give us a speech because we were all excited. We got the job done and are champions of the Bundesliga, What can I say?
