Janet Yellen tells Congress US faces ‘unacceptable levels of inflation’

Janet Yellen told Congress that the US is facing “unacceptable levels of inflation” on Tuesday as the treasury secretary defended herself from criticism of her previous comments that rising prices were “transitory”.

She also said she was late in realizing how quickly inflation was taking hold. What is she doing. That's her job!

These people, pretending not to know what inflation actually is, are either liars or incompetent. After years of Quantitative Easing (increasing the money supply), and companies buying back their own stock rather than investing in production, the result can only be higher prices.
