James was left in ‘agony’ after falling on his arm during rehearsals with partner Alexandra Schauman, resulting in a subluxed shoulder.star said he couldn’t move his arm the next morning, and even attempted to quit the show.Speaking on This Morning, presenter Phillip Schofield commented that it was clear to see the pain he was in on the night.‘I was on painkillers,’ James said, ‘They said to me they wanted to put it in the VT and I said I don’t want it in the VT.
‘This is about the final, and Wes and Saara deserved their place there and I didn’t want it to be about an injury at that stage.’The Strictly star was left in ‘agony’ after the injury James said of his fall: ‘I’ve got a weak shoulder anyway, and that night I couldn’t sleep, I was in agony.‘I called the producers straight away and said, “You’ve gotta pull me out the show, my arm’s gone”.
