James Bye admits he almost cried asking Lacey Turner to be godmother to his son

James Bye has revealed he almost cried while asking close friend Lacey Turner to be the godmother of his one year old son Hugo, who was recently christened.

Speaking about the moment he popped the question to 31 year old Lacey, who recently confessed she "ignored" her pregnancy for 14 weeks, James said that he felt a little "choked up" and nearly cried while speaking to her. Discussing why he chose Lacey and 37 year old Davood Ghadami to be Hugo's godparents, James said he felt like they were closer to being his family than just friends.

Lacey Turner's new mum journey View gallery James' wife Victoria added: "We wanted people that will watch over Hugo as much as we will. Lacey always says that, in her eyes, Hugo can do no wrong and ever since he was born, she has just adored him."
