British woman with joint Jamaican citizenship tested positive for coronavirus. She flew to the island for the funeral of a family member before becoming ill. A spokesman for Jamaica's health ministry confirmed she was in quarantine.
Lady was apparently screened on arrival, maybe another indication screening is not affective... The patient, a female travelled from the United Kingdom to Jamaica on March 4, and was screened, as were all the other passengers on the flight from the UK on arrival at the airport.
POTUS has made an exception allowing travel from the UK to the USA but banning all of Europe. Someone tell Trump about this case.
Well, travel spreads this disease faster. Shouldn't all ports be screening people who are entering? How about all the people she travelled with that have potentially been infected?
I kid you not. I said to my wife last week “Jamaica will get its first case via the UK”
