Man gives restaurant a one-star review over bizarre Parmesan requestTripAdvisor can be a bit hit and miss. Even if a bar or restaurant (or shed) does get a good review it's not always guaranteed to be that great or vice versa. You know what, if the man wants Parmesan, just give him the Parmesan on the side and he can try it out. If he preferred it without, then no harm, no foul. People don’t all have the same kind of palette.

The angry diner posted a raging TripAdvisor review about not getting the cheese they wanted on their crab ravioli and said the establishment's service was "second to cow dung". TripAdvisor This was the furious complaint a customer made about Maximo Italian Bistro in Kennington, south London Facebook Massimo Donato replied to the review with some rules about traditional Italian cooking His post about Maximo Italian Bistro in Kennington, south London, came after he ate there last October. But owner Massimo Donato didn’t let the reviewer get off that easily and told the angry customer some ‘ABC rules’ about authentic Italian cuisine. He wrote on the review site: "Half way through the meal I felt like the dish needed a little something. In a post which was and has since picked up traction on social media, a man went on a lengthy rant about the establishment, equating it to 'cow dung' over a dispute revolving around parmesan cheese and seafood. "So I asked the waiter for some Parmesan cheese and he sort of gave me a bewildered look. Responding to the ‘obscene request’ Massimo added: ‘Try parmesan on cow dung, it should taste fine for you. I waited for his response which I couldn't believe. Dead mice and mouse droppings were on the floors (Picture: Leicester Mercury / BPM Media) ‘Dribbles’ of urine were found in the serving dishes.
"He literally refused to give me the Parmesan, stating you do not put Parmesan on any seafood because it would take away the flavour. Advertisement Advertisement He added he was shocked at the owner’s response when he requested some Parmesan to add to the dish that came with a cream salmon sauce. Halfway through the meal, I felt like the dish needed a little something." The customer said he didn't want to make a scene and ate his meal — but would have preferred it cheesier. He also said when he got back to his hotel he "needed to get it off his chest" and called the restaurant to complain, but the owner remained steadfast about the cheese argument. ‘So I asked the waiter for some Parmesan cheese and he sort of gave me a bewildered look. The customer added: "[The owner] said even if I insisted on getting the cheese he would not give it and seemed offended that I could even ask. He literally refused to give me the Parmesan, stating you do not put Parmesan on any seafood because it would take away the flavour." The owner, Massimo Donato, then took it upon himself to break down some basic Italian cuisine principles for the outraged diner in a reply to his complaint. ‘He literally refused to give me the Parmesan, stating you do not put Parmesan on any seafood because it would take away the flavor. The inspectors also found a potential allergy hazard, and wrote: ‘I noticed spillages of mustard seeds over the high level shelves above the cooking area.
Saying he had "no words about your rudeness and your silly request", he went on to write: "There are a few rules on the authentic Cucina Italiana you probably aren't aware. When he got back to his hotel he said he ‘needed to get it off his chest’ and called the restaurant to complain about the service but the owner maintained his position on the cheesy matter. I basically explained to him about customer service and his job was to cater to the paying customers and he said even if I insisted on getting the cheese he would not give it and seemed offended that I could even ask. "And, last but not least, NEVER EVER EVER ASK FOR CHEESE ON A FISH DISH." Massimo signed off his furious screed with the line: "Try Parmesan on cow dung, it should taste fine for you.’ After posting his grievances on TripAdvisor, Massimo said he had ‘no words’ for his ‘rudeness and silly request’ and found it frustrating he had to explain the ‘obvious reasons’ for his refusal."
