Islamic State tonight claimed responsibility for a suspected terror attack which killed at least 60 people at a packed concert venue on the outskirts of Moscow.
Audience members had been at the venue to see Soviet-era rock group 'Picnic' about to perform at 8pm when the massacre began.It brought back harrowing memories of the Islamic State assault on Paris's Bataclan concert hall in 2015 when 89 people were shot dead. Other video footage showed the men shooting people below what looked like an entrance sign to 'Crocus City Hall'. Another clip showed at least four people attacking the crowd with guns, to the sounds of shots ringing around the building and smashed glass. The shooting is being treated as a major incident, weeks after warnings from embassies of an imminent attack by 'extremists'
Telegram channel VChK-OGPU and other outlets said natives from the Russian region Ingushetia have been put on the wanted list on suspicion of involvement in the attack on Crocus. 'They started shooting, possibly hit the concert equipment, and someone got out of the hall in a panic. The witness continued: 'The shooting started all over again, we heard it from above, we were sitting, then we heard it, we started moving all the way down, we realised that they were also shooting below.
'The terrorists shouted with an accent, she said, something Caucasian.
