Is there something about modern life that is making this generation lonelier – or is youth simply a time of life when people feel isolation most keenly?

a accusation by a woman can ruin your life, best way is for young men to star away from women, only way to be safe.

The young worry too much about their body shape, their hair, their sexual performance, their exams, their foreign holidays, social media etc - they should stop worrying & have no money/possessions like 60’s kids !

Is this another story about the Brexit dividend?

The latter

I don’t think it has anything at all to do with (the youth) ‘time of life’. We are beginning to see what happens when human beings disconnect from each other. We face screens, devices, emails, etc instead of each other. This will have massive consequences - we barely see it now.

We don’t go out or socialise. We have to shop for partners on line ( surprised Amazon doesn’t sell them). It’s hard for an introspective youngster to interact with peers

Youth is not the only time to feel lonely, the elderly do as well. There are phases in life when one feels it acutely

Social media and left wing ideology, when you brainwash the young they are always oppressed they end up believing it, thats way they fell lonelier

Women write fantasy for grown-ups, tooWhy are female authors’ adult fantasy novels so often marketed at teenagers? 🙄 Condescending tripe, Margret Weiss- co author of one of the biggest fantasy series going. Robin Hobb, Christie Golden, Anne Mcaffery, all superb authors and adult fantasy story tellers Ouch. I’m all for examining how female writers are treated by marketing, but ‘YA is for kids so therefore sexism’ is a bad leap. Yes, let’s talk about sexism in sci/if! It’s important! But don’t do it by saying YA is the evidence of a bad deal.
