At one stage, looking at Willie Whitelaw, Taylor says ( I paraphrase), people like that no longer exist. So true. People today aren't the same as those 50 years ago,in our own lifetime, let alone those before our times. They not only did things differently: they were different

The repeated characterisation of the problem as just 'sectarian' is one of the big false narratives about happened here. It is, and always has been, a classic conflict between the colonised and the colonisers, just as in Africa and America, except the colonised here were white.
