Party announced a new wave of prospective candidates to stand as MPs in the next general election, several people pointed out that some of them look slightly familiar.

On Thursday 74 new Brexit Party MP candidates were revealed on Twitter, joining 50 candidates previously announced to contest seats across the country. The party is currently fielding candidates for 124 seats out of the 650 constituencies that will be up for grabs in the next general election. Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage has previously said he would not put up candidates in 28 constituencies currently represented by Conservative MPs who voted to reject the Brexit withdrawal agreement proposed byWhile many of the announcements were met with a mix of support and disdain from either side of the leave or remain debate, some attracted more attention than others.The potential MPs as a group were compared to characters in the eccentric Channel 4 sitcom Toast of London.
