Intermittent Fasting,16:8 Diet,Celebrities

A new study suggests a type of intermittent fasting that is popular with celebrities could nearly double the risk of dying from heart disease. The 16:8 diet, which involves eating within an eight-hour window of the day and fasting for the remaining 16 hours, is a favourite of stars like Jennifer Aniston and Heidi Klum. However, researchers who studied 20,000 US adults on this eating plan claim it isn't a good long-term option.

A new study suggests that the 16:8 diet , a type of intermittent fasting popular with celebrities, could increase the risk of dying from heart disease . Research ers found that those who limited their eating to eight hours a day were 91% more likely to die from heart disease than those who ate across 12 or 16 hours.

However, time-restricted eating did not reduce the risk of death from any cause.
