There will be tough new measures in place for the Strictly contestants this year

Strictly Come Dancing is coming back and we couldn't be more thrilled about the news, but the dancing competition we all know and love will look slightly different when it returns.

"Unfortunately if you receive a positive test that means that you wouldn't be able to continue in the competition. Obviously, according to government guidelines, if you receive a positive test you have to isolate for two weeks and that would rule them out of the show."

The favourite Blackpool and Halloween weeks have also being sadly cancelled due to the series starting later, and even Dave Arch's band can't all fit in the pit due to the distancing guidelines. Their fellow pros and celebs will be seated down by the side of the stage at their own tables to prevent any mingling: "We should still get that sense of camaraderie. Claudia will only be able to speak to one couple at a time and we won’t be able to have all the cast up there but she’s so brilliant with people," Sarah added.

And when it comes to the much-loved group dances that often sees the entire cast of professionals perform stunning routines live on the show, they have all being pre-recorded.
