Inside Lancashire's very own shrine to the humble Adidas trainer

Celebrities and music legends rocked up in town over the weekend to get a first peek at East Lancashire's very own temple to Adidas.

The exhibition opening day coincided with the announcement of the celebratory and limited edition adidas SPZL collection. Brought to life as a reimagined vision of the label’s past, present, and future, four iconic silhouettes from adidas SPZL’s past 10 years – the Garwen SPZL, the Lacombe SPZL, the Blackburn SPZL, and the Ardwick SPZL – are subtly reworked as anniversary editions.

Over the past 10 years the range has released a host of products that give nods to the area from the Feniscowles jacket to the Intack SPZL trainers and the Sudell tracksuit. Back in 2019 Gary's team hosted a large-scale adidas exhibition in neighbouringThe exhibition, supported by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, is running daily from noon until 8pm from Friday May 17 to Sunday May 26 at Fourteen, 14 Market Street, Darwen.
