There is a strong nexus between Jamaica and the international fashion industry, and it’s largely thanks to one man:. For 20 years, through his industry-renowned agency Saint International, Peters has launched the careers of numerous models he has scouted in Jamaica and throughout the Caribbean. have become frequent collaborators, too. “Deiwght really nurtures [the models] and steers their careers,” says Wales Bonner of working with Peters on the casting of some of her shows and the short filmby Jordan Hemingway. “He has an understanding of elegance and recognises it in people. And he’s very proud of my own Jamaican heritage.© Photography Ekua King

The seed for Saint International was planted in 2000 when Peters started a competition called Fashion Face of the Caribbean, which continues to act as a platform for aspiring models.
