'I did not vote for Brexit. And if it must yet happen, I’d prefer a marshmallow-soft version, please. I’m agnostic about a second referendum. None of this makes me a bad person. Now do you see my dilemma?' | JudithWoods

Ooh, it’s the European elections next week, and I for one can’t wait. There are lots of reasons: no more leaflets through the door, no more dreary discussions on the Today programme, no more arguing with my husband about discriminatory Slovak retail taxes…I am officially a floating voter. And the thing about us floating voters is that, unless one party or another throws us a lifeline, we sink.

JudithWoods Yes 100% we must REMAIN

JudithWoods Who is she campaigning to outside the bath spa pump rooms Chinese and American tourists?

judithwoods Judith, forget leave/remain - it's about democracy being respected. That's more important than anything else.

JudithWoods For me, the real issue at stake here is our democracy not Brexit. Whether you voted Leave or Remain, if you don’t support the implementation of the result then that makes you an enemy of the U.K. in my book.

JudithWoods so your problem is: there is no such thing as a soft brexit It's like a divorce where the H says. U have to pay the Mtge for 10 yrs and he can decide who u date for life and when u see the kids and their kids and he wants to check yr phone every week. OK for u?

JudithWoods It’s not just about Brexit, it’s also about democracy. If they can ignore the voices of 17.4 million, whose voices can they and will they so easily ignore in the future. It affects us all. Leavers or Remainers.

JudithWoods Problem is that a “soft marshmallow” version delivers none of the benefits of Brexit. We cannot LEAVE the EU whilst REMAINING in core EU structures such as the internal market & customs union. We voted for full control of our laws, courts, trade policy, money, borders, seas etc.

JudithWoods OK. I would just like to point out my plan from 2 years ago to resolve Brexit plan using Rock, Paper Scissors. Or for the sophisticated out there - Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock.

‘I may vote independent’: the struggle to win remain votes in the EU electionsChange UK is competing for votes in remain heartlands, as Labour activists try to stop voters from jumping ship If there was a party called ‘Remain’ and all the remainers were in it, it’d do extremely well. Sadly, there isn’t and for whatever reason the remain politicians haven’t been able to work together. Which says a lot about this whole shambles. heidiallen75 Be careful, they might call you an African 'village idiot' if you don't vote for them! … FraserNelson
