I've had a Man City season ticket for 72 years – this title means everything

If Manchester City win the Premier League title on Sunday, thousands of fans will likely stream on the pitch to celebrate a historical achievement. For Inez McKee, the title would be the icing of the cake of 72 years following the Blues before she reluctantly gives up her season ticket this summer.

She also remembers the magic of Bell, Georgi Kinkladze and Ali Bernarbia. Her favourite players today are Phil Foden and Jack Grealish.

Inez speaks fondly of Maine Road, and also of the Etihad where many friends moved into the same block, 107, from where they had sat at the old stadium. To recognise her time as a season-ticket holder, City treated Inez to a hospitality experience recently, and she was presented with a commemorative shirt by Summerbee. "I saw him play for Swindon when he destroyed City in a cup match and we signed him not long afterwards. He was quite thrilled that someone was there, there wasn't many of us."
