Breast cancer charity CoppaFeel saw a huge rise in hits on its website after Sarah Harding's death.

It was "by chance" she spotted it, she wasn't in a habit of checking them.

It was only by chance that Lucy got her lump checked. She had a day off work, so went while she was free."It would be a completely different story at this at this stage. It's the reason why I'm here today."Even when the GP referred Lucy to a breast clinic, it still didn't cross her mind it could be breast cancer."The doctor became very silent," she says.Lucy was told she would need chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery.

Lucy also wants to make more people in the black community aware of the importance of checking breasts for lumps. Fran didn't think it would happen to her either but when she was 24, she noticed a lump in her breast.

BBCWorld As a 2 time cancer survivor; I can’t stdress the importance of brest cancer awareness. Years ago my best friend was 23 and was diagnose with stage 4 brest cancer. Unfortunately treatment was not as adv. then as it is me vigilance is the key.
