On a fundamental level, Loftie is, yes, a time-telling and awakening device. Its main screen shows a digital clock. It wakes you up by playing a loud noise, and you turn it off by hitting a button. But instead of rejecting technological advances, it embraces them — then weaves in wellness components your phone sorely lacks.
It also offers a very functional feature of allowing its owner to schedule alarms for different times, on different days in advance. So if you’re like me — who wakes up at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday to go to the gym, but allows themselves to sleep in to 7:30 a.m. on Friday, and then on the weekend likes to lounge around until 10 — you don’t need to sit down each night to set an alarm.
