I shopped TK Maxx's Halloween range but something big was missing

As a self-confessed lover of all things creepy and kooky, I've been stalking my local TK Maxx - and its website - for the last few weeks in search of its first spooky offerings. I've even joined a few groups on Facebook, where fellow obsessives issue 'code oranges' whenever a new Halloween product is spotted in the wild.

While there was no giant skeleton immediately visible, my first stop was to check out the candles. I do love a scented candle, and the sweet and warming smells of autumn are some of my favourites. I'm a huge fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas, and to my delight, there were some Jack Skellington goodies in among the skulls and ghouls. There were beautifully thick hand towels - perfect for the kitchen or bathroom - which feature Jack's face. The two pack purple Jack Skellington hand towels, the two pack blue Jack Heads towels and the two pack orange Jack Heads hand towels were all priced at £9.99.
