I am an ordinary mid-career professional. I work a nine-to-five job in the city, and I’m well respected and growing in my career. I have never broken the law. And recently, I joined Extinction Rebellion, blockading traffic.
This is like a magnet for the “ dont’t work, won’t work” brigade. The planet is doomed with that bunch of no hopers.
Oh my God, its impressive given what has gone on today, that this is the most nauseating thing I have read in the past 24 hours.
The one big issue in this case is that no one has yet explained how we keep people fed, employed, housed and generally alive under extinction rebellion's new regime. At the moment, these protests are totally negative in nature. What plans have you?
No. Blockades only piss people off and cause all kinds of problems. How long before someone dies because of the blocked traffic? Find some way to target the people actually in a position to do something.
No thanks, I have a job and little desire to make life more difficult for our over-stretched police and over-burdened tax-payers
Why would anybody wish to save the human race from extinction? The quicker the better as we might leave something salvageable by nature in that scenario.
