In a briefing sent to stations before his arrival to promote Dolittle, they demanded “work areas” including studios, were kept between 18 and 20 degrees celsius, while “holding areas” should be between 20 and 21 degrees. Being a bit warm should be the least of his worries though, following a series of dodgy stories about Dolittle, which comes out here on February 7. The star’s Welsh accent in the film has been widely mocked, the movie has been panned by critics and it’s taken an underwhelming amount in the US. In the first five days of release Stateside it banked £23million – just a fraction of its £133million budget.
