Chris Jervis said his childhood made him into the strong person he is today

Chris Jervis, from Fazakerley , overcame a traumatic childhood, breakdowns and self-harm, and is now on a mission to help other men who find themselves struggling like he once was.

“We used to get taken carol singing and was out all hours of the night just trying to get money any way we could for drugs.” “It made me realise I had a lot of unanswered questions and answers I could never get. I had really bad anxiety and when people approached me or I had to go out in public, I was getting panic attacks.”

In his latest move to help men with their mental health across the region, Chris has taken over the running of Liverpool men’s mental health hub, Inner Guru’s The Hub.
