Energy price cap: Mum with young baby forced to use foodbank ‘feels sick’ at thought of bills rising further
Tameside East Foodbank in Greater Manchester is already feeding twice as many people as it used to when it first opened a decade ago, says coordinator Jean Fitzsimons. The food bank has leaflets on where to get help and now does ‘kettle packs’ of meals that don’t require gas to cook. She pays for gas and electricity via a pre-payment meter and is doing everything possible to make their money stretch as far as possible.
