I mean honestly. The person's talking about this are the same ones chasing Snowden for revealing exactly that in a much bigger way and a lot of people still don't care for that and just ignore it so why should a bunch of 15yo care when the own politicians don't.

if Trump was truly concerned about data collection he would've addressed it long before Tik Tok, and it would've involved all countries, including the US.
I never understood the appeal of TikTok even before I found out about it's links to the Chinese communist party.
I think that the issue of data collection in general needs to be discussed in congress and regulated. Facebook is extremely intrusive. Why does Twitter need access to my photos? I think that they are simply for profit companies that are monopolistic in nature.
They have been raised with the normalisation of social media collecting excessive data, they wouldn't be concerned. America have enabled all these other social media's to do this unchecked, now they want people to care just because a Chinese company is taking part.
