Dear Coleen Sadly, my elderly mum died a few weeks ago, but I was shocked and upset to find out she’d left what money and assets she had to a friend who had cared for her over the last couple of years of her life.
In Islam she won't be able to do that. Like leaving it to the dog :-)

Your mother should have realised that you had to work when she needed someone with her, so you couldn't look after her 24/7. She should also have thought about your feelings towards her if she never left you a reasonable percentage of her estate, which I think is selfish of her.
Should of cared for her yourself then, doh!
Maybe it's because she knew you didnt give a fcuk about her and only put up with her because of some perceived inheritance.
