Discovering a new cuisine is one of the things that makes dining out so exciting -but during Ramadan, it's a risk not always worth taking.
The Middle Eastern eatery located on Friargate is gem tucked away in the city centre. After coming across the restaurant's Facebook page I called up to book a table for four and come 7:30pm, headed in to the warmest of receptions. As we waited, the atmosphere became sombre as the time arrived. There were a handful of non fasting families who seemed to also appreciate the tables of waiting groups.
I would even go so far as to say it was the best part of the entire meal - and we didn't even pay for it. Then, as soon as the bowls were cleared, our food arrived. It didn't take long to polish off our meals and as we sat in pure satisfaction. Then, the ultimate question hung in the air: do we have room for dessert?
But I knew I would only settle for the real deal so as I sat in an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant, I thought this is the time. Once again, I thanked God I did.
