pollytoynbee I just don't get it. To me it's coming from self interest rather than a passionate ideology.

As the major parties get stretched further to the wings of their political leanings, there is space left in the middle. Nature abhors a vacuum. We need more people in the middle (even if we disagree with them), for people to be able to move their own beliefs.

What it is you find so mysterious, pollytoynbee? UK Labour Party was immorally occupied by a Thetcherite neoliberal cabal. They always ensured the likes of georgegalloway were kept out of the party and the likes of jeremycorbyn were isolated and sidelined.
