I am being paid to sit and refresh my computer screen every 15 minutes. The ‘world-beating’ system is a shambles

NHS test and trace is too little, too late.HS test and trace was meant to be world-beating, but in my experience it’s been a shambles. I am a paramedic who has been working for the service since it launched, but I have yet to make a single call., the largest NHS staff bank in the UK. It said it had almost been a month since the service went live, and thanked me for my “hard work and commitment to date”.

Says it all really.

This is good, frustrating perhaps but good.

Shouldn't be a surprise, if they've 25,000 tracers when there are 1000 cases/day. No doubt there are plenty of gov policy & state ops failures in the Covid response, but tracers with nothing to do isn't one of them.

I'm sure there will be in inquiry into this fiasco. ...and it will be filed safely away right next to the RussiaReport etc...

Are they really paid £27,000 a year? It should be changed to an hourly rate then only pay them when they've made calls

NHS test and trace system unable to reach quarter of infected peopleThe government’s contact-tracing programme failed to reach a quarter of people who tested positive for Covid-19 in England between 18 and 25 June, the latest figures show. Only 75 per cent of the I'm surprised. Beyond that, I'm shocked. No, just kidding, nobody expected anything else from that bunch of incompetent morons we call our Government. If this is supposed to be the world beating system to control the virus going forward, why is Leicester in lockdown with several other towns/cities near lockdown? Shouldn’t the system be on top of this? Another hopeless, pathetic effort by the gov
