Husband of mom-of-three Maya Millete arrested for her murder nine months later

May ‘Maya’ Millete, who was last seen alive at the start of the yearLarry Millete’s arrest on Tuesday comes nine months after Maya, 39, vanished. She allegedly disappeared the day she scheduled an appointment to‘Today, the Chula Vista Police Department is announcing the arrest of Larry Millete for the murder of his wife, May,’ Chula Vista Police said Tuesday in a news release.

In July, Larry was named as a person of interest in his wife’s disappearance. She was last seen by her father on January 7, two days before the Chula Vista family was going on a trip for her daughter’s birthday,Her husband initially took part in the search efforts but later stopped cooperating with law enforcement officials.s Larry had been withdrawing large sums of money from the bank over the past few days, making it look like he was going to flee.

The Chula Vista Police Department had investigators interview 87 people, write 67 search warrants and followed up on over 130 tips about Maya’s possible location or reason for disappearing, a press release from the department said.Back in January when police searched the Millete residence in connection with Maya’s disappearance, Larry allegedly told officers he knew they were coming for his guns, and gave his weapons to friends.

In the months since her disappearance, Maya’s relatives have spoken out about how her and Larry’s marriage had been crumbling.Fox NewsHer relatives have cautioned that they are hesitant to speak out about Larry. In the past he has said and done questionable things to them, including sending a picture of him and his wife covered in what appeared to be drops of blood.
