Police went to the River Wandle in Mitcham after the remains were discovered yesterday.Specialist police divers were also sent to the scene.A large search is ongoing in the area of country park.No arrests have been made.A Metropolitan Police statement said: "On Tuesday, 21 May police were called to Rawnsley Avenue, Mitcham after human remains were found in a river by members of the public.
