Hugh Bonneville's role in James Bond and important coronation job

The real-life Paddington star known for playing Robert Crawley, Earl of Grantham to Downton Abbey lovers, Hugh Bonneville is on UK screens from Thursday in Douglas is Cancelled.

In 1987, he joined the National Theatre where he appeared in several plays, then the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1991.

From 2014–17 he played Ian Fletcher in BBC satire W1A. He has also played historical figures including Philip Larkin, Sir Christopher Wren and John Bayley. Hugh continued to appear onstage and on TV throughout his time on Downton, and gained a legion of younger fans playing Mr Brown in the 2014 film Paddington and its 2017 sequel Paddington 2. Since then, he has worked on more theatre productions and was the host of the Coronation Concert of King Charles III.
