Huge system issue hits train operators with sites and apps down

A number of train operators have been hit with a huge system issue this morning - leaving passengers unable to see journey times or book tickets.

Screens in some stations are also affected by the issue. When the Manchester Evening News tried to search for a journey this morning on the Trainline app, 'no results' were found.A tweet posted by National Rail at around 6.45am this morning said: "There is a problem with real-time information on a number of systems including journey planners.

Thank heavens for ticket offices & guards then: hopefully they're on a different system & can still carry out these functions

Nevermind apps and sites being down. How about turning up to the train station and be waiting 30 minutes and your train that is supposed to get you into work on time still hasn’t arrived? Might as well go back on strike. Really really poor RailwayNorthern
