The deal, known as a deferred prosecution agreement, resolves a long legal and geopolitical battle involving the US, China, and Canada.

Meng Wanzhou was arrested in December 2018 in Vancouver but she is now heading home to ChinaHuawei's chief financial officer has reached a deal with US prosecutors that allows her to return to China.

Her arrest followed an extradition warrant issued by the US for a range of charges relating to alleged breaches of sanctions against Iran.
