Uk is top in CO2 emissions for flights - not per capital, not per sq mile etc ... just right their at the top above any country

Electric planes coming for short haul as electric cars for that distance are a little way off too. Either way we might need passports. Edward l hacked a path through north Wales’s forest about 200 yards wide to get to the Prince of Wales.

But TheGreenParty and LibDems are trying to shift air travel to rail? Why have Guardian journalists failed to spot the blatant inconsistency, or is it an inconvenient truth deliberately avoid? 😃

jon_bartley Alternatively, we can just carry on as we are and destroy the entire planet. Transport now emits more CO2 than any other sector in the UK. We need to ditch cars and planes in favour of trains. Anyone know how to achieve this transformationally without HS2?

The motorways that will have to be built if HS2 is cancelled will destroy far, far more and be more polluting.

They don't care... getting to London 10 minutes earlier is far more important.....

So if you take out the Birmingham to Manchester/Liverpool element... Which currently appears to have zero chance of being built...how does it look then?
