would be lying if I said this is the kind of dress I like best when I’m on holiday. The kind of dress I like best when I’m on holiday is the one I put on over a bikini while I make a pot of coffee and then take off when I flop on to a sun lounger. My absolute favourite holiday dress isn’t even a dress, really; more a glorified black vest with a draped neckline, so tissue-thin from years of wear that it takes up hankie-sized space in a suitcase and dries in the sun in minutes.
You mean ‘How to dress for a day out when leave home in the morning and return later in the day’ staycation
A staycation means taking leave but staying at home. So wear whatever you like. You're only going to the Costa del Back Garden and on daytrips. A holiday is what you take anywhere else. A foreignholiday is what many Brits want but can't have. I will die on this hill.
That's a holiday.

Are you seriously telling us how to dress in our own country?
Obviously, it is unnecessary to pack a suitcase for a 'stayykayshun' because you will be staying at home so will have access to your wardrobe every day & can wear anything at all including your granny's socks if the fancy takes you.
