__adamwhite seems completely ignorant of the history of storytelling, apart from Saw as the starting point of modern trends in film. He gives no evidence for Saw originating these trends. He just notes the Saw movies came before the others & assumes nothing else was in play.
What a silly article. Comic books' episodic, cliffhanger-loving, character-resurrecting, self-referencing nature is what influenced the Marvel movies (and probably the Bond films) far more than the Saw movies did. Saw almost certainly owes more to Marvel (& DC) than vice vesa.
