How much will the Tory leadership candidates commit to climate policy?

Although climate policy has not been at the forefront of the leadership candidates campaigns – it’s likely to come up at tonight’s debate.

Four out of the five candidates have now committed to keeping to the target of net zero greenhouse gas emission by 2050 but campaigners are concerned that it won’t be achieved. Our Chief Correspondent Alex Thomson spoke to the COP26 president Alok Sharma – before the first Conservative leadership debate took place.
