A key point of contention in the UK during thepandemic has been how the four nations are approaching the lifting of lockdown differently.

Public health is a devolved responsibility so administrations in Scotland, Wales and Northern IrelandAlthough the lockdown restrictions have been broadly similar since March 23, differences have started to emerge this month as the measures begin to ease. From then Scots will be able to meet people from one other household outside and while social distancing.Non-contact outdoor sports will be allowed, such as such as golf, tennis, bowls and fishing, as will sitting in parks and sunbathing.

Outdoor businesses and garden centres will resume from Thursday and schools are due to go back from August 11.The change was criticised by Ms Sturgeon, who said he should make it clear the changes only applied to England.
