House of the Dragon Season 2 - Official Black Trailer (Max)

It is a strange tradition that when summer comes along we choose to shut ourselves indoors and watch a very dark – thematically and literally – television show. But House of the Dragon is back, bringing with it distinctive faces and less distinctive dragons . And so we must make the pilgrimage to Westeros, which, on our last visit, was hanging in a fine, fiery balance.

Speaking of Daemon, the reformed bad boy played by former Esquire cover star Matt Smith. He now exists in his own show: trampling through Westeros on solo quests and conquering personal demons. Good fun. And the children are all grown up. Mitchell was already great as the terrifying Aemond , but he’s even better this season. Both Mitchell and his on-screen brother Glynn-Carney are the best-written characters here: their rivalry is a toxic scream among the treasonous whispers.
