Bar the very end of last season, it is the most defenceless we have seen the most formidable person in King’s Landing. And while these new scenes of Aemond have not exactly revealed anything revelatory just yet – he feels bad about what happened and is a little self-conscious – Mitchell is totally committed to the performance.
