Gaspar was playing for Arsenal’s Under-18 side last season and will join Watford’s Under-23, a policy of progressing players through the age groups that was outlined in an interview with Academy Director Richard Johnson. “It’s very nice to be here,” said Gaspar. “I’m very happy for me and my family and excited to get started.Gaspar played for Corinthians in Brazil from Under-7 level before spending the last three years at Arsenal.
“It was very good for me, coming from Brazil to a big club like Arsenal, training every day with them,” Gaspar explained. “I had a good three seasons there. “It’s not easy to join another club but now things are getting more serious, with Under-23 football, me and my family made the choice to move.”
