JolyonMaugham Poor article! It doesn't say when they arrived in the UK and on what legal basis they and their family have been living here since: only that they bought a flat in Scotland when they were young(-ish) - aged 43 and 33.

What gets me: we hear of rapists convicted after decades but spared prison / getting 'easy' sentences as they're over 80 & it would be 'inhumane'. = they get rewarded for hiding their crime that long. But these people, have done nothing wrong, receive no such generosity.
