Government data on ‘no recourse to public funds’ policy is ‘lacking’, Sir David Norgrove says

The 'no recourse to public funds' policy has created significant problems during the coronavirus crisis because it has excluded many people who are struggling during the lockdown from accessing public assistancehad been criticised by the UK’s statistics watchdog for giving “confusing and unclear” reasons for refusing to reveal how many immigrants are unable to access any kind of benefit.

It's a dreadful policy.

In 2008 it took 2 years for an immigrant to access public funds. My guess is now it takes longer.Windrush ppl heat for 50+ years of paying taxes NI being denied public funds or right to citizenship is a disgrace and a scandal
