Most of those earmarked for a deportation flight to Rwanda are understood to be men with no family and no significant health problems

two years after it was first announced impose sharp restrictions on when migrants are allowed to appeal against a deportation order., for example by arguing that being removed from the UK would damage their health or undermine their right to a family life.

The source added: “Even if a handful of migrants are able to lodge an appeal, the big law firms won’t be able to stop the flights altogether this time.” Any migrant who wishes to appeal against deportation will only be able to do so on the basis that they personally will face “serious and irreversible harm” if resettled in the east African country.The Home Office has identified a cohort of people who will be on the first few flights to Rwanda. It has previously said that they are not all men but declined to give any further details.
