Gregory has been on the show since 2016 Hollyoaks legend Gregory Finnegan has caused concern amongst fans who fear he might be leaving the show. Gregory, 43, has played lawyer James Nightingale, the husband of Ste Hay in the Channel 4 soap since 2016. The character is currently embroiled in a huge story that has seen him come head to head with villainous Warren Fox , after Ste accidentally knocked down and killed his daughter Ella .
Jonas Khan who portrays Zain Rizwaan will also be leaving. In the last week, three more characters bowed out of the Chester village – Lizzie Chen-Williams , her brother Mason and Hunter McQueen .
