Holly Willoughby is due to jet off to Costa Rica shortly to film her new Netflix TV show, and her safety has been placed in the hands of experts for the trip. The TV presenter is teaming up with Bear Grylls for new show Bear Hunt, which will begin airing in January 2025.
The streaming giant is said to be "investing huge sums" to ensure their next project is a big success, and that includes making sure all of the cast members, including Holly, are in safe hands. Ex-special forces and former military guns for hire have reportedly been hired, and another £1 million will also be spent on security in the jungle.
The source added: "That means hiring specialist teams of guards, many of whom will be ex-military and special forces experts. They’ll also need specialist vehicles, safe accommodation and a secure location in which to film." The new Netflix show is a far cry from Holly’s usual daytime TV image, with the star having found fame on shows such as This Morning and Dancing on Ice. It comes as a source claimed the mum-of-three is “distancing” herself from the jobs she is used to and wants to "show a different side to her".
