Rasmus Hojlund: Enough said by looking at the scoresheet. Hojlund made it five goals in four Champions League appearances for United with a clinical double against his boyhood club. In doing so the 21-year-old joined Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney in becoming the fifth United player to score in his homeland while playing for the club in the marquee European competition. A quirky - but impressive - statistic for him.
Losers Raphael Varane: His omission from the starting XI once again raised eyebrows. However, when taking his display into account, Ten Hag might have even got that one bang on as he paired and preferred Maguire and Jonny Evans together. Varane was rusty and wasteful in possession. It might only be injury problems to other players that afford him a route back into the line-up.
