‘Large’ number of Tory MPs set to vote against party, which would also lose ground to Lib Dems

The Conservatives will lose significant votes to the Liberal Democrats or other remain parties if they force through a no-deal Brexit against the will of parliament, the party stalwart Lord Heseltine has warned.

Well it's an imposition of parliaments own making. They've had multiple chances to avoid a no deal, but it wasn't willing to compromise. We can blame boris & co for part of it, but the whole of parliament is to blame. ALL of them!

Well said Hezza, any attempt to bypass parliament on this fundamental issue is a virtual coup d'état.

No-deal will break the country & allow the Tories to put it back together in a way to satisfy those who pay to keep the Tories in power. The chaos that a no-deal Brexit delivers will act as the perfect cover. Just like the banking crisis & austerity but 10 times worse.

No the British people are sovereign not those that are elected they should be nothing more than representatives of the people that put them there.

ah the rich man who gets 90,000 a year from the EU in land subsides doesn`t want us to leave! Quelle suprize!!!

plantingtheoar NO deal. It's a steal. So hateful of the rest of the world, the UK would rather sink alone and drown in the stormy sea than to join 'those people' on the raft. Such superiority.

GovHowardDean Hope our precious ally feels we CARE about what's happening there for many reasons.

This 'dogs dinner' is a direct result of David_Cameron with his inability to write a clear procedure map for and after the referendum resulting in non-elected people acting as puppeteers this shift from elected dictatorship to dictatorship needs to be fought by every means

But imposing greater political union for the last 40 years without a mandate was just fine. Hypocrisy

Just read how much he takes off the EU 🇪🇺 wish I got that amount pension

We have governments elected on 40% or less of the vote, is that democracy? Apparently yes cos our hopeless system makes it so. We have to make up our minds about what democracy is.

The intolerable attack on democracy is ignoring and trying to overturn the result of a democratic vote.

52% of the electorate is being treated as if it were 100%, the meaning of a ref vote has been imposed after the event & is still being changed to suit circumstance, nationalists are given carte blanche to misrepresent their stance as patriotism. We have a long way to fall yet.

Lol, wtf planet is he on?🤔 PlanetTorySellout

It is, but I expect nothing else from National Conservatives and their thug supporters. It is a blatant attack against everything - the very core principals - upon which every single democracy is based. The Tories show their true colours in grand style. May they utterly fail!

For Bojo’a own political agenda and future

Opinion: Economists are united by only one thing: Brexit will make our economy worseBoris Johnson’s ‘boosterism’ is intended to counteract the negative shock of leaving the EU – but haphazardly shaking the ‘magic money tree’ will not be enough bollox ..... name them Economists are united by only one thing: P.R.O.J.E.C.T F.E.A.R! Vote The BREXIT PARTY brexitparty_uk for DEMOCRACY & FREEDOM! Thank You! Economists were united when they stated UK would go into recession once we voted to Leave, it didn't happen. The same economists failed to predict the last few market crashes. But I will compliment the economists on their consistency... consistently wrong on all major issues.
